Privacy Policy
JustJEE (justjee.com) helps students prepare for the JEE. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
Who we are
JustJEE operates the website at justjee.com. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at support@justjee.com. This address also reaches our Grievance Officer for data-protection concerns.
What we collect
- Email address — required to create an account and to send you a one-tap sign-in link (we do not use passwords).
- Name — optional, only if you add one, to personalise your account.
- Learning activity — the courses you enrol in and your per-lesson progress, so we can show your progress and continue where you left off.
- Limited technical data — your IP address and timestamps around sign-in requests, used only to rate-limit and protect the sign-in system from abuse.
- Communication preference — whether you have opted in to study tips and course-announcement emails. This is off by default.
How we use your data
- To sign you in securely via magic-link email.
- To provide courses and track your learning progress.
- To send you service messages related to your account and enrolments (for example, important course updates). These are necessary to provide the service.
- To send study tips and marketing announcements — only if you have explicitly opted in. You can opt out any time from your account or by emailing us.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
Children and guardians
Many JEE aspirants are under 18. If you are a minor, you should use JustJEE only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, and we rely on that consent for processing a minor's data. We do not use a minor's data for targeted advertising or for tracking beyond what is needed to run the service. A parent or guardian may contact us at support@justjee.comto review, correct, or delete a minor's data.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run JustJEE, and only as needed:
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — to deliver sign-in and account emails.
- Supabase — managed database hosting where your account and progress are stored.
- Cloudflare / AWS CloudFront — to serve the site securely.
When paid memberships launch, a payment processor (Razorpay) will handle payment data under its own terms; we will update this policy at that time.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data (your enrolments and progress are removed with it), except where we must retain limited records to meet a legal obligation.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to grievance redressal. To exercise any of these, email support@justjee.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will revise the "last updated" date above when we do. Questions? See our contact page.
